Where Are You on the Ladder of Human Development and Consciousness?

Why a Ladder?

I first thought of this as a roadmap for human development and consciousness. Then I began calling it a Ladder because we are not meant to remain at one level. We can heal, grow, expand our awareness, and rise.

David Hawkins and Levels of Consciousness

In Power vs. Force, Dr. David Hawkins described a Map of Consciousness that moves from lower emotional states such as shame, fear, and anger toward courage, love, peace, and increasingly expanded spiritual awareness. His work helped inspire the higher-consciousness portion of my Ladder.

But consciousness does not develop in isolation.

Earlier developmental needs—safety, belonging, love, self-worth, and emotional security—may also need healing. This is where Gentle Reparenting enters the journey.

Where Spiritual Growth Intertwines with Healing

As we heal unmet developmental and emotional needs, spiritual growth may deepen as well. Greater safety, self-worth, love, and inner wholeness can open the way to deeper questions of purpose, identity, consciousness, and our relationship with the Divine.

From here, the Ladder continues into spiritual awakening, expanded consciousness, and the deeper questions explored in Our Sacred Origins.

Spiritual Questions that May Arise

Who am I beyond my personality, roles, and life story?

Where did my consciousness come from?

What is the deeper purpose of my life?

Is there a Divine part of me that has always existed?

What does it mean to live from a higher level of consciousness?

Can healing help me become more aware of my spiritual nature?

What happens as we move beyond fear, survival, and old emotional patterns?

Are we here only to cope with life—or to evolve in consciousness?

What might humanity become as more people awaken to love, unity, and Divine/Cosmic Consciousness?

Could Heaven on Earth begin with a change in human consciousness?

The higher levels of the Ladder open into questions that go beyond emotional healing and personal growth.

The book Our Sacred Origins ... We ARE the Children of God explores who we are at the deepest level, where consciousness comes from, our Divine origins, and the evolutionary journey to heal the gap between the 3D consciousness we were born into and the higher consciousness of Heaven on Earth.
